Glory

Your prayer answers are closer than you think. They are here and now!
Seasons last but for so long and then they come to an end. After the season ends the weather will change. Nothing stays the same. Nothing lasts forever. But the GLORY of the Lord.

Your answered prayers are here and now, if you would just change your heart, change your mind, change your attitude.
Yesterday I studied God's grace and realized I hadn't been living in it. I realized that I didn't know how. A lot of times we get stuck in these places. We get weary. We get ungrateful. We get lost in our stinking thinking, lost in our feelings. And we don't know how to change. We don't know how to grow. We may know what the Lord is asking us to do, but we don't know how to do it. And that can block our advancement.
God had been trying to give me His grace, but I could not receive it because, well, I didn't know how to change my heart or my mind. I think I've figured out how now:                  ASK!
You see, I was trying to change, but I was relying on me to fix me. Until I realized I needed some help. So I asked God, "God would you teach me, would you show me a new way, would you heal me, would you take away my brokenness and make me like you?"
 Ohhhhh, and do you want to know what God said to me? He said nothing.
​He just did. He filled me with His Grace. He filled me with joy. He filled me with peace. He filled me with understanding. He filled me with excitement. He filled me with forgiveness. He filled me with kindness. He filled me with hope. All in a moment. People always say 'God's timing' but I believe God timing can be your timing too, when you learn to trust him and receive His way.
We can't always do what God is calling us to do because, instead of calling to him for instruction, we are like, "okay, how am 'I' gonna do this?" And we mess everything up. Then we wonder why things aren't right and give up. No! No! No! Stop giving up and start giving it to God. Just say, "hey God, I know what you want me to do, but I don't know how to do. Would you lead the way?" He'll come through!
That's all He ever wanted. He wants us to stop relying on ourselves and others and to start relying on Him. And when we do, it is suddenly that our lives will begin to change. That is the GLORY. God's Glory!!!
Submit. Repent. Turn away. Believe. Receive.

God,
I thank you for the light of your glory that shines deep within my soul. The light of your glory that shines within me and makes darkness flee. I thank you, Heavenly Father, that when I need help you are always right here, all I have to do is ask. Lord, its the asking part for me. I want to figure it out. I want to fix it. I want to be independent and say "yay me!"
O, but God, that's not what you created me to do or be. You created me to give YOU all the GLORY. To give YOU all the honor. To give YOU all the praise. And how am I supposed to do that if I'm working it out on my own and giving myself all Your praise? It doesn't work. So, God, would you forgive me for, and take away my pride and humble me so that when I say that I summit and surrender unto you, I truly will be. Would you help me remember the words that I read in your book of instruction that they be written in my heart and mind that I never forget your promises and how they come true. O God, let me never stop needing you. Let me always be desperate for you. Let my heart always long for you. There's no place I'd rather be than in your Glory. In Jesus name. Amen
