Say It! Believe It! Live It!

Romans 10:9–21
Some things are meant to be said out loud. Not whispered. Not kept quiet. Not just tucked away in our hearts and hidden behind behavior. Salvation is one of those things.
  • “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” —Romans 10:9
That verse right there? It changes everything.
It’s not just a moment of prayer - it’s a moment of confession.
Not just a belief - it’s faith with roots.
Not just about hearing - it’s about responding.

 Say It
Faith without confession is like love without action. And confession without heart? That’s just noise.
Paul isn’t telling us to shout louder - he’s calling us to speak real.
📌 “Do you really believe? Or are you still trying to impress God with works?”
📌 “Are you ashamed of the name you claim?”
That hit me hard. Because if I’m being honest, there have been times I’ve tried to look the part without living the truth. But Romans 10:11 says:
  • “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
So, if shame is still following me, maybe I’m still trying to earn something Jesus already gave.
Words carry weight. The enemy knows that. That’s why he works overtime to keep your mouth shut. If he can’t stop your belief, he’ll try to silence your voice.
But Paul writes:
  • “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart.” (v.8)
It’s already there. You just have to say it.
Declare it when you wake up.
Declare it when you’re doubting.
Declare it when you feel unworthy.
Jesus is Lord.

Believe It
Paul lays it out clearly: this salvation isn’t earned. It’s not based on how perfect you’ve been or how many Sundays you’ve sat in a pew. It’s about believing deep and confessing bold.
But here’s the question I had to ask myself—and I’ll ask you too:
👉 Do you really believe?
Or are we just going through the motions? Lip service. Christianese. A highlight reel of verses we barely live. Because belief—real belief—starts in the heart but doesn’t stay quiet. It speaks. It preaches. It moves.
It’s not just lip service. This isn’t about saying something just because someone told you to.
It’s about believing with your heart that He is who He says He is.
That He didn’t just die - He rose. That changes everything. That’s resurrection power available to you today.
That’s the power that makes you righteous - not your works, not your perfection, not your past.
You can’t fake this. You can’t perform your way into this.
You believe, and you are made new.

Live It
This is where most stop. They said it. They believed it.
But now… do you live like it?
Do you walk in the confidence of salvation?
Do you share the good news like it’s actually good?
🦶 How Beautiful Are the Feet…
The next part of the chapter isn’t just for pastors or missionaries. It’s for me. It’s for you. Paul walks us backward:
They can’t call unless they believe.
They can’t believe unless they hear.
They can’t hear unless someone speaks.
And no one can speak unless they’re sent.
You’ve been sent.
Into your family. Your workplace. Your Instagram feed. That hard place you don’t even want to be in right now - God put your feet there. Not to survive it. To bring good news to it.
And it doesn’t matter if they listen. It doesn’t matter if they clap or scroll past. Because faith comes by hearing—even if only one hears.
Even if you are the one who hears it again while you’re saying it.

Let’s be real: not everyone is going to believe you. Or listen to you. Paul quotes Isaiah, saying:
  • “Lord, who has believed our report?” (v. 16)
  • “All day long I have stretched out My hands to a disobedient and contrary people.” (v. 21)
Even with all this truth, not everyone will believe.
Even when they hear it—some will still reject it.
But you? You keep walking. You keep speaking. You keep believing.
Because faith comes by hearing - and someone needs to hear your voice declaring what God has done.
These words, this reflection, this wrestle?
This is my Say it! This is my Believe it! This is my Live it! This is where I take my doubt, my questions, my pride, my voice - and lay it all down.
Because I want to believe deeper.
I want to confess louder.
I want to go further.
I want my faith to speak and my feet to go.

Journal with me:
How can I “say it, believe it, and live it” with boldness and faith?
Am I growing in faith, or just collecting spiritual knowledge?
What’s stopping me from speaking the name of Jesus boldly?
Where has God sent my feet—and what message am I carrying?
