dry bones arise

There are seasons when God gives you a vision that is so alive, so clear, that it burns in your spirit. But somewhere along the journey, the battles, the disappointments, the delays, and the mockery of others begin to strip the life out of that vision. What once felt like a living, breathing promise now looks like a valley of scattered bones.

This morning, the Lord took me back to Ezekiel 37 — the valley of dry bones — and reminded me that resurrection doesn’t begin with the bones moving. It begins with a Word.

“He asked me, ‘Son of man, can these bones live?’ And I answered, ‘O Lord God, You know.’” – Ezekiel 37:3

I feel like Ezekiel in that moment. God asking me, “Can this vision still live? Can your heart still believe? Can this ministry still rise?” And honestly… all I could say was, “Lord, You know.” Because sometimes you’re so exhausted that even believing feels like too much to carry.

But then God speaks again:

“Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.’” – Ezekiel 37:4

He didn’t tell Ezekiel to wait for the bones to move first.
He told him to speak in the middle of the silence.

And that’s exactly what the Holy Spirit is reminding me right now — I can’t stay silent in this valley. I can’t let disappointment keep me quiet. I have to open my mouth and prophesy over what looks dead.

“So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together…” – Ezekiel 37:7

The sound didn’t come before the prophecy… the sound came because of it.

I believe there’s a rattling beginning in this season. Not because everything suddenly got easier — but because I’m choosing to speak life again. I’m choosing to declare what God said instead of what my eyes see. This ministry, this calling, these promises — they were never my idea. They were His. And if He spoke them, then He will breathe on them.

“Then He said to me, ‘Prophesy to the breath… and say, ‘Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.’” – Ezekiel 37:9

There is a wind coming — not a natural wind, but the breath of God — and when it comes, every lifeless thing has to rise.

So I declare today: Dry bones, arise.
Every vision buried by doubt — arise.
Every promise suffocated by fear — arise.
Every God-given dream mocked by man — arise in the name of Jesus.

The valley is not the end. It’s the place where God shows His resurrection power.

🛐

Father, I thank You that You are still the God who resurrects. I confess that parts of my heart have felt dry and hopeless. But today I choose to obey Your voice and speak life over every dead place. Breathe on this vision once again. Let Your wind come from every direction and revive what You have planted in me. Strengthen my faith. Restore my hope. And let these dry bones live — for Your glory alone.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
